Mr. Smith goes to Washington

I object to Christmas movies airing tonight instead of Fourth of July movies. At the very least, they could have the respect not to change the programming. Instead, Lifetime is celebrating an entirely different holiday.

I was shocked to see that one of the classic movie channels isn't airing Mr. Smith Goes to Washington starring Jimmy Stewart. This is the only movie that can make a filibuster fascinating. In fact, this is the movie that taught me the word filibuster & for that I'm grateful. It's the perfect movie to watch on the Fourth, or anytime. So anyone who is in charge of programming on cable stations, please make a note: No Christmas movies on the Fourth of July.
