There aren't a lot of CDs where I can listen to the entire album straight through. I have a short attention span, & pretty soon all of the songs start to sound exactly the same. Here are the exceptions. These are the CDs that I keep in my car because I don't have to change the CD or flip through songs to find one I like, thus preventing accidents. Hence the name, car CDs. I know, I should just buy a CD changer.
- Wallflowers, Bringing Down the Horse: This album has such hits as "One Headlight" & "Sixth Ave Heartache".
- Everclear, So Much for the Afterglow: I love every single song on this album, they all sound so different, & there's just the right mix of songs that were played on the radio & songs that weren't in order to keep my attention. This album gets played a lot during the dreary winters. For some reason it reminds me of the sun & gives me hope that someday I'll live in Las Vegas luxury homes. Even though their lyrics are a little depressing, (ok so they are very depressing), they just have an upbeat tempo.
- Norah Jones, Come Away with Me. This CD almost puts me into a trance so I don't listen to it in the car a lot unless I'm in traffic & need to calm down.
Wow, it's hard to believe that I only listen to three CD's all the way through. What are your car CD's?
