Christmas in July

I'm not sure who coined the phrase Christmas in July. I suspect that it was done solely to make us buy more stuff in July & so the retailers can have sales. I was flipping through the channels wondering what kind of patriotic programming will be airing tonight. I was expecting a few westerns & the token Independence Day. Instead, on the Lifetime network they are airing Christmas movies. Enough said. On the Fourth of July. Instead of watching a movie I'm going to go sit in a hammock chair.
