Background TV Shows

There are a few shows like Mad Men that I'm totally captivated by. There are so many nuances that I often watch an episode several times and then read blogs about what all of the clothing and decor meant or represented. However, there are a lot of shows that are just on in the background while I'm surfing the web. I put them on specifically for this purpose. Felicity is one of those shows for me. I would never be able to focus on it entirely, maybe if I would've watched it when it was first on the air. The seasons do become more interesting as it goes along and it tackles bigger issues but it's still just a background show to me. Do you watch TV like this?
