Sometimes I think I'm the only female alive who doesn't love Jane Austen. I just never really got into her books, they were too sentimental for me. I guess because I've heard the stories over & over they have started to seem cliche instead of ground breaking. They just aren't the kind of books that I'd read while on Vegas vacations.
I really gained a new respect for Jane Austin by watching Becoming Jane. I saw her as a revolutionary writer instead of taking her for granted as I always had. I've only read two of Austen's books. I liked watching The Jane Austin Book Club because I got to learn more about all six of Austen's books. Plus, Amy Brenneman was in the movie & I've loved her since Judging Amy. If I had to chose between watching Becoming Jane & The Jane Austin Book Club, I'd chose Becoming Jane.
