One Cello x 16

Rarely does an album really drown out the noise of everyday life. I thought that One Cello x 16 by Zoe Keating was going to be peaceful and relaxing, and it was, it's strings after all. I thought it would be background music for looking up health insurance in nc or doing research for my job. It would work as that but it's also a lot more than just background music.

It was also powerful enough to be all encompassing. I originally picked up this album because I remembered that she toured with Amanda Palmer, and I love anything Amanda Palmer related. It's really the use of a cello in a way I've never heard before and it's definitely worth a listen. It's the most captivating instrumental disc I own.
