Ok, I loved Project Greenlight: Season 2 at first but only because it had Matt Damon & Ben Affleck in it. I was so happy to be rid of Pete Jones, the whiny know nothing director from the first season. I was ecstatic to see that instead they had two winners, one was a writer, the other was a director. Great, qualified people this time around. The director was actually a team, so that's three people working to make a$1,000,000 movie. Also, this season they didn't go bug Harvey for more money.
Everyone involved in the show really seemed to hate "Stolen Summer" which was the product of the first season. They really ripped it apart & basically called it crap. Unfortunately, I think "The Battle for Shaker Heights" (the movie produced in Season 2) turns out the same way. Just once, I'd like to see directors carry their vision through instead of just sitting around the office whining & making impressions of Chris Moore. Matt & Ben seemed a little discouraged this season they kept saying "Maybe the system actually works, maybe we shouldn't try giving the little guys a chance. Project Greenlight depends on this movie being successful." Over all, I'd rather shop for used cisco routers than watch this season again. However, if/when season 3 comes out on DVD I will be there just because I love Matt that much.
