There was a TLC special on crazy Christmas obsessions and I was surprised by the sheer amount of stuff that people collect. One woman had 5000 snowmen in her house. I can see collecting something useful like humidors but spending all of that money on decorations doesn't make sense to me. That would've been bad enough but her husband also had a collection of Nutcrackers. All I could do during the whole show was mentally add up what I thought each item would cost and multiply it by the number of items to figure out the total cost. They should've called it “A Very Merry Episode of Hoarders”.
