I Can't Believe I Didn't Realize This

When I first watched the Bad News episode of How I Met Your Mother I cried. However, what I read about later had me absolutely stunned that I had missed something so obvious. There is an actual countdown from the number 50 to the moment when the bad news comes. I had no idea it was going on because the props blended in so well. However, when I realized this; I couldn't keep my eyes off the screen. The numbers were so obvious that they almost jumped out at me. However, the emotion behind the show was so strong that I didn't even notice this the first time I viewed it. My favorite is the number five which is Barney's infamous high five. Did anyone else miss this, or find all 50 numbers?
