WebMD

Guest post written by Jeramy Sparks

Every time I have a weird symptom I immediately think that something fatal is wrong with me. I used to go to the library and look up my symptoms in medical books. I would always find a diagnosis and when I finally went to the doctor to talk to her about my symptoms, I was always prepared to let her know what kind of research I had done. When I was looking into chapel hill wireless internet providers, I wanted to get internet mostly because I wanted to use WebMD to look up my symptoms. I usually can avoid a copay at the doctor if I can determine that my symptoms are not something serious. However, there was one time in college when I thought my eyes were bulging and after I looked up my symptoms on WebMD, I told my roommate that I thought I had Lymphoma. After going to the doctor and talking to her about my bulging eyes, I was pleased to find out that I just needed to get more rest and that I did not have Lymphoma. Maybe sometimes WebMD provides me with too much information.
