Beowulf

I don't know what exactly made me rent the movie Beowulf. The only thing that I hate more than a bloody thriller movie is poetry. So imagine me watching a bloody thriller movie based on an epic poem. Granted, I followed the movie a lot better than I have ever followed the poem. I like to read a lot, but I usually read things that are understandable. I'd rather read diet pill reviews than an Old English poem. I'm classy that way.

The really amazing part of this movie is that it uses a motion capture process like the one in The Polar Express. It's a little like watching a video game. For the record, I also hate bloody video games. However, I found the movie captivating. It's not my favorite movie in the entire world but I didn't hate it nearly as much as I thought I was going to.
