I was having a blah day. I was tired & it was stormy outside. It wasn't a bad day, just nothing special. Then I received "Alice" by Tom Waits in the mail & the day completely turned around. I like his later albums better. Yes, he was very cute when he was younger but his voice was so smooth. Now it's like gravel, but in a good way. I can't believe how much his voice has changed.
Really the only thing that has stayed consistent about him through the years is his black clothing. I don't know if this is a conscious decision on his part, or if I don't have enough album covers, or if he just needs some port authority clothing. I only have 28 Tom Waits CD's to find until I have the entire collection.
